Adult ADHD assessment process
01 — Initial consultation (€195/£170)
Before beginning the process of assessment and identification for ADHD, we will meet to discuss your experiences and your suspicion of ADHD.
The aim of this consultation is to thoroughly explore your reasons for seeking a diagnosis, consider the impact of receiving or not receiving a diagnosis at the end of the process, and examine whether there may be a different explanation for the differences you experience. This comprehensive approach ensures we address all your concerns and provide the best possible support, making you feel understood and cared for.
Our team is certified administrators of an HSE-approved clinical test, QbCheck. This computer-based test was developed to objectively measure the three core symptoms: inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Using QbCheck ensures that our clients receive the highest level of accuracy when determining whether ADHD is present.
02 — Full Adult ADHD assessment (€595/£490)
During your ADHD assessment, we gather detailed information about your experiences during childhood and as an adult, using evidence-based criteria and diagnostic tools. Additional information we may require include; family input, school reports and medical and psychiatric reports.
03 — Assessment report
The final step of our ADHD assessment is the presentation of your personalised ADHD assessment report findings. This report includes details gathered during the assessment, and summary of our findings. It also includes your specific type of ADHD, along with recommendations and resources. This presentation is conducted during a final virtual meeting.
Please note, although suitably trained Psychologists are permitted to diagnose ADHD, it is deemed appropriate to recommend that a Medical Specialist be consulted for their expert opinion for a full formal diagnosis. This recommendation is made not because it is believed the individual definitely has ADHD, but to ensure a thorough evaluation by a specialist.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder. It affects both children and adults, and can impact daily functioning and quality of life. It has three main features:
Inattention – not being able to stay focused
Hyperactivity – excess movement that is not appropriate to the setting or excessive fidgeting, tapping or talking
Impulsivity – acting hastily without thinking, and in a way that may have high potential for harm.
In adults with ADHD, both inattentive and hyperactivity-impulsivity characteristics can include: failing to give close attention to details, careless mistakes in work, difficulty sustaining attention, easily distracted, often feeling dreamy or preoccupied, procrastination, forgetfulness, poor time management and excessive energy or restlessness.
-
ADHD is diagnosed through a comprehensive assessment that includes a detailed history, questionnaires, and standardised rating scales. Our professionals will evaluate your symptoms and their impact on your daily life to determine an accurate diagnosis and also work to rule out any other medical or psychiatric disorder.
